Are you a Black-led and Black-serving organization with an innovative idea for Black History Month (BHM)?

Applications are now open for the 2026 Black History Month (BHM) Initiative Fund, a partnership between Africa Centre, the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) and Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC). This fund supports organizations and groups of African descent in raising awareness, sharing stories and celebrating their heritage.

• Committee application deadline: Dec. 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (MST)

• Funding application deadline: Dec. 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (MST
