Early Learning &
Child Care

Early-Learning-Child-Care

The program intends to facilitate culturally relevant affordable Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) programs that enable full family participation.

Our Daycare is non-profit with the lowest rates in the city, with price subsidies available for families in need. Our non-profit model ensures that our prices are low, with no compromise to the quality of childcare offered.

We offer full-time, part-time & drop off childcare for children starting from 12 months to 12 years old.

We work collaboratively with Getting Ready for Inclusion Today (GRIT Edmonton) through the relevant trainings and resources to enable the full participation of all children in the program, including children with diverse learning needs.

We closely work with the ELCC supports (MacEwan University and Mount Royal University pedagogical partners) to develop practices to explore the implementation of the Play, Participation and Possibilities: An Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum Framework for Alberta.

We believe in a holistic approach to early learning. The child is a social, emotional, creative, thinking, communicating, and problem-solving little person. Children learn through their play and require opportunities to direct their own play, within safe limits. Early learning educators support that play by providing a stimulating environment that provides children with a variety of play materials while enhancing the child’s vocabulary and thinking skills through open ended activities and conversations.

We support cultural identity and belonging through sensitivity and inclusion of cultural practices, values, arts, and cuisine. Each family will see themselves reflected in some aspect of the program. A child is part of a family unit and it is a valuable asset to develop collaborative relationships with parents.

Everyone is welcome in our program.
