Africa Cultural Festival

The African Cultural Festival (AfricFest) is the flagship program of the organization. It is a vibrant, one-day, outdoor celebration of African heritage happening on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Eau Claire Park, downtown Calgary. Hosted by the Canadian Crowned Creations Association, this free-admission event promotes multiculturalism, inclusion, and unity through food, music, art, fashion, dance, and education.

Expected to attract over 5,000 attendees, AfricFest will showcase 30+ African communities through live music and dance, authentic African cuisine, an artisan market, fashion shows, spoken word performances, and educational segments highlighting African history and global contributions.

The festival offers a platform for local African artists, youth, and entrepreneurs to connect with the broader community. Volunteers and partners will support event coordination, tech support, safety, accessibility, and sustainability efforts.
