Black History Month Initiative Fund Event

On Feb. 2, join us at Edmonton City Hall for a special Black History Month (BHM) event celebrating the initiatives and community-led projects supported through the 2026 BHM Initiative Fund.

This year marks Canada’s third decade of Black History Month. Under the federal theme, “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries,” we celebrate three decades of Black History Month in Canada and recognize the lasting impact of Black Canadians across generations.

As we honour the legacy of those who carried the torch and look ahead to the future shaped by those who now hold it, we invite you to celebrate excellence, resilience, and impact across generations.
