After fleeing the horrors of the Rwandan genocide, a family of four begins a new life in Ottawa, Canada, where they face unexpected challenges and harsh realities in their pursuit of safety, belonging, and a better future.

Presented in partnership with The Myrrha Room as part of Black History Month, this screening centers powerful Canadian diaspora storytelling. The evening will include a post-screening conversation with the film’s director and screenwriter in attendance.
