All Africa Soccer Tournament and Festival

Africa Centre is excited to announce the return of our 16th annual All Africa Soccer Tournament and Festival. This free event celebrates community, culture and sports, bringing together teams from Edmonton to represent various African countries. Join us for a three-day event over the Canada Day long-weekend.

Activities and highlights:

  • Soccer tournament: watch teams from Edmonton compete, with finals and awards ceremonies
  • Live entertainment: enjoy performances from several local musicians
  • Beer garden and food vendors: relax in our beer garden and enjoy food from various vendors
  • Market stalls: explore and shop for unique products from local artisans
  • Kids' activities: fun activities for children, including face painting, bouncy castles and games
  • Cultural displays and workshops: experience African heritage through traditional dance, art, and crafts

  • June 29: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The free event is open to all ages and communities. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the African descent community, enjoy entertainment and celebrate the Canada Day long weekend. Bring your friends, family and supporters for a weekend full of fun and community spirit.

Over the last 16 years, the All Africa Soccer Tournament and Festival has been an annual event uniting the community through sport. It connects the wider African descent community, families, and people of all ages, emphasizing friendly competition and family-friendly activities.

This event serves as a pivotal platform for fostering camaraderie and meaningful connections through soccer. Participants and spectators forge bonds that extend beyond the tournament itself, reaffirming our commitment to collective participation and community engagement.

This year, over 20 African nations will be represented across Men’s, Masters, and Youth divisions, along with 4 dynamic Women’s Collective Teams. It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend of soccer, culture, and community.
